The Visual Computing and Games specialization in Computer Science explores using computers to replicate human visual perception for tasks like object identification, while also producing visual media such as films and video games. Game development provides computer science students with an excellent platform to master and implement core principles of interactive design and visual content creation.
Admission to the computer science major requires completion of these 24 credit hours (8 courses):
Computer Science 1001 and 1002, with minimum grades of 65% in each
six credit hours in critical reading and writing (CRW) courses, including at least three credit hours in English
Mathematics 1000 and 1001 (or 1090 and 1000)
six additional credit hours in elective courses
