McMaster University's Honours Biology & Pharmacology Coop Program, a collaboration between the Faculties of Health Sciences and Science, holds the distinction of being the institution's oldest undergraduate co-op initiative. Key features include: capped enrollment ensuring intimate class settings with fewer than 20 students, specialized Pharmacology courses within Biology and Health Sciences curricula examining human pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacogenetics - studying drug-body interactions in both directions. The program features: an exclusive laboratory course, a comprehensive research thesis, and three paid co-op terms in diverse settings including industry, academia, or government, available locally in Hamilton or internationally. This comprehensive training develops versatile skillsets, thoroughly preparing graduates for advanced studies in medicine, pharmacy, veterinary sciences, or direct entry into industrial and governmental careers.
Entry requirements may vary from country to country. Students are required to complete Grade 12 high school diploma equivalent to Canadian qualification.
