The Honours Environmental Sciences program offers a versatile, cross-disciplinary curriculum that establishes a strong grounding in environmental sciences, featuring specialized courses in ecology, inland water ecosystems, and plant biodiversity. During Level 2, students can choose from various subjects such as earth history, soil science, geological surface dynamics, environmental geochemistry, atmospheric processes, and hydrological systems.
At Levels 3 and 4, elective options expand to include climate system interactions, groundwater hydrology, biogeochemical cycles in watersheds, advanced climatology, geochemical contamination studies, freshwater ecosystem dynamics, isotopic and microbial geochemistry, hydrological simulation techniques, and groundwater pollution studies. Additionally, the program covers essential principles of environmental policy and impact evaluation.
Entry requirements may vary from country to country. Students are required to complete Grade 12 high school diploma equivalent to Canadian qualification.
