The Honours Earth and Environmental Sciences program addresses the evolving demands of geoscience and environmental science fields. Students in this program can potentially satisfy the academic criteria for Ontario's Professional Geoscientist certification. Details regarding professional geoscientist qualifications are available here.
The curriculum includes mandatory core courses that combine essential science foundations (chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics) with practical geoscience and environmental science competencies. These encompass Geographic Information Systems (GIS), field studies, lab techniques, remote sensing, and professional skill development (research methods, written and verbal communication, teamwork, organization, and quantitative analysis).
Entry requirements may vary from country to country. Students are required to complete Grade 12 high school diploma equivalent to Canadian qualification.
