The Mental Health and Addiction specialization offers students the chance to gain comprehensive knowledge about how mental health, addiction, and societal factors interconnect. This program explores the connections between psychological well-being and broader social dynamics, such as social exclusion, perceptions of deviant behavior, and health-influencing social factors.
By studying healthcare stories and personal experiences, students will develop an awareness of the varied viewpoints in mental health. The curriculum provides foundational knowledge about psychological disorders and demonstrates how social transformation and non-medical approaches can help tackle mental health and addiction challenges while enhancing wellness. Graduates of this specialization will be prepared to analyze mental health topics through multiple theoretical and applied frameworks.
