The Liberal Arts program, referred to as Histoire et civilisation, is a two-year preparatory course for university that delves into Western civilization's history while incorporating Indigenous and global viewpoints. Students examine historical, philosophical, literary, and religious studies to build a timeline of the concepts and occurrences that have shaped our society.
Our committed instructors pursue two main objectives: guiding you to become an outstanding university applicant and instilling a passion for learning as an end in itself.
Marianopolis offers a compact honors Liberal Arts program organized chronologically across semesters—from Antiquity through the Medieval, Modern, and Contemporary eras. This structure helps you effortlessly link various approaches to studying civilization's fascinating historical tapestry.
The program also provides a taste of university life through exclusive collaborations with McGill and Concordia. Additional opportunities for practical experience come through optional placements with community organizations.
