The Sales and Event Coordinator (SEC) program represents a fresh, collaborative initiative between MITT and the Manitoba Tourism Education College (MTEC). This enduring institutional partnership between the college and industry council enhances student learning and career prospects across all training disciplines. While graduates earn an MITT qualification, MTEC provides the 10-month curriculum featuring occupation-focused training, career development, and technical instruction. MTEC's campus, conveniently situated near MITT on Scurfield Boulevard, serves as the program's delivery location. Qualification Requirements

High school diploma (or expected completion within 45 days of the program start date), or equivalent. International applicants must meet the general entrance requirements based on country/curriculum of study. Applicants must also meet the program-specific requirements, including:

  • Senior Level First Language Literature with a grade of 50 per cent or higher, or equivalent.

*All high school grades will be converted to an equivalent Manitoba grade scale.

Students also must be 18 years of age or older by the official start date of the program.

English language requirement:

  • IELTS (Academic) (International English Language Testing System): 6.0 overall, no band less than 5.5
  • PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic): 54
  • TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet Based): Overall score of 78, with no less than 17 in each component
  • CAEL CE & CAEL Online (Canadian Academic English Assessment): 60
  • Cambridge English Advanced Certificate (C1): Scale Score of 180 / Grade of C
