With roots tracing back thousands of years in China, acupuncture now stands as a regulated healthcare practice in Alberta, serving as a widely chosen alternative and complementary therapy for both short-term and long-term health conditions.
This curriculum equips students to qualify as Registered Acupuncturists in Alberta, pending successful completion of the Pan-Canadian and provincial licensing exams conducted by the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAAA). Our distinction lies in being Alberta's sole publicly funded post-secondary program of this nature, officially recognized by Alberta Advanced Education.
Applicants must have a minimum overall average of 60 percent, with no course grade lower than 50 percent, in the following high school courses:
