This program offers comprehensive training in music composition, including film scoring, songwriting, arranging, and orchestration. As a Composition Major, you'll concentrate on crafting music and lyrics while mastering melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, and arrangement techniques. The curriculum covers lyric setting, ear training, sight-reading, and explores 20th-century compositional trends, film scoring, orchestration, and music business fundamentals. The program incorporates performance ensembles, music career development courses, cultural studies, and electives in music technology.
