Paralegals assist clients in understanding procedures and addressing crucial concerns. Those with proper licensing can even appear in court on behalf of their clients. This program receives accreditation from the Law Society of Ontario.
Hands-on education
Learners gain comprehensive preparation for licensed paralegal work in Ontario through a combination of theoretical coursework and applied training, featuring:
Instruction in core legal principles and courtroom processes.
A strong focus on professional ethics and obligations.
Courtroom observation during two practicum placements, plus involvement in a simulated trial at either the Ontario Court of Justice or Superior Court of Justice, where each participant assumes the role of legal counsel.
