Hands-on education
This program equips students with practical, in-demand expertise covering both financial and managerial accounting:
Acquire leadership capabilities in financial planning, cost analysis, pricing strategies, reducing inefficiencies, and improving operational performance.
Earn certifications in widely-used professional tools including MS Excel, Sage 50 Accounting, and QuickBooks.
The third year deepens expertise in corporate finance, managerial accounting, business taxation, and auditing methods.
Participate in strategic business simulations and team-based challenges.
Gain insights from real-world case analyses and industry professionals.
Apply your knowledge during semesters 5 and 6 through Loyalist's Service-Learning Community Clinics, refining client relations while supporting local enterprises and nonprofits with accounting, financial planning, and payroll services. Semester 6 features a specialized Student Tax Clinic.
The third-year includes a month-long professional placement, offering practical experience, valuable connections, and potential employment opportunities upon graduation.
