The economics curriculum equips students with comprehensive knowledge of economic principles, problem-solving techniques, and policy evaluation.
Course subjects encompass Canadian economic strategies along with challenges like housing affordability, joblessness, price increases, and wealth disparity; resource economics and Northern Ontario's regional economy; environmental regulations and economic activity assessments; central banking operations and the Bank of Canada's functions; plus finance, capital markets, and global commerce.
Learners develop skills in statistical analysis, critical reasoning, and policy formulation. Weekly tutorial support is provided. The Economics Student Association regularly hosts professional development and social gatherings.
