Langara College's Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs, sn…ôwÃìey…ô…¨ lel…ômÃì, equip students to collaborate with young children, families, and community organizations while adhering to key frameworks including BC's Early Learning Framework, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, the ECEBC Code of Ethics, BC's Child Care Sector Occupational Competencies, Child Care Licensing Regulations, and the UN Convention on Children's Rights.
At Langara College, sn…ôwÃìey…ô…¨ lel…ômÃì, the ECE curriculum combines contemporary theoretical instruction with diverse practical experiences to enhance students' professional development. Core principles of inclusivity and respect for every child and family are woven throughout all program offerings, including diploma, certificate, and post-basic Special Needs certification options.
Students must have a BC Grade 12 Graduation (or equivalent).
