Graduates of Langara College's Business Management program adapt seamlessly to workplace demands, leveraging their comprehensive business training to address challenges and seize opportunities. Alongside core business subjects like marketing, financial management, and international business, students in this specialization complete foundational general education courses.
This hands-on, multidisciplinary two-year diploma program equips students for various managerial roles. The Business Management Diploma delivers thorough training across key business disciplines including accounting, marketing, business research methods, management fundamentals, organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, financial management for startups, business strategy development, professional presentation techniques, legal studies, and supporting courses in economics, English, communication, and business mathematics.
Students must have a BC Grade 12 Graduation (or equivalent).
Academic Requirements
To be admitted and participate in the co-operative education option, students must:
Be enrolled in three or more program courses (minimum nine credits), not including EXPE 2300 (formerly BUSM 2300/COOP 2300);
Achieve and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.6 in each term;
Successfully complete an employability assessment interview with a Co-op instructor; and
Complete EXPE 2300 (formerly BUSM 2300/COOP 2300) with a minimum 'C' grade.
