The Diploma in Arts and Science (Commerce) Program offers coursework equivalent to pre-Commerce and first-year Commerce studies. While primarily designed for UBC transfer, Langara College's diploma program can also accommodate transfers to SFU and UVic with adjustments, subject to availability (consult a counselor for specific requirements). This program serves as a foundation for general business careers and offers mathematically skilled students a business-focused pathway, culminating in a Diploma in Arts and Science (Commerce). Students may alternatively pursue an Associate of Arts Degree in Commerce and Business Studies.
Admission to UBC, SFU, or UVic's Commerce faculties depends on each institution's evaluation of individual applications. Those holding prior university degrees should directly contact these universities before enrolling in the Commerce transfer program.
Maintaining a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is crucial, given the intense competition for business faculty placements across all three universities.
Successful completers of Langara's Diploma in Arts and Science (Commerce) Program may enter the third year of Royal Roads University's Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management Program, assuming they meet all entry requirements and space exists in the program.
Students must have a BC Grade 12 Graduation (or equivalent).
