Numerous sectors, including construction, manufacturing, energy, and health care, are looking for skilled professionals to foster safer work environments. The Workplace Safety & Prevention Technician program equips students with specialized training to identify, analyze, and control risks across diverse occupational settings. Graduates will gain the expertise needed to implement and assess workplace health and safety programs effectively. The curriculum outlines key health and safety goals while guiding students in creating relevant policies and protocols. A strong focus is placed on interpreting regulations and detecting, mitigating, and assessing workplace dangers. Additionally, students learn to document and communicate safety and health observations. This collaborative program is offered through partnerships with Seneca and Cambrian Colleges, featuring instruction from faculty across all three institutions. Participants will learn alongside peers from Cambrian, Seneca, and Lambton, with a substantial portion of core courses delivered online via platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
