Modern accomplished photographers require skills beyond operating cameras—they must excel in design, editing, marketing, networking, writing, and sales. At Lambton College, students train for this dynamic and growing profession using cutting-edge digital photography tools in our advanced studio facilities. The laptop-focused program blends online and in-person instruction, providing adaptable learning options. Aspiring photographers are inspired to pursue their creative visions while mastering essential technical abilities for artistic expression. Coursework spans diverse subjects like composition principles, digital editing techniques, lighting mastery, camera operation, and professional portfolio creation. Learners gain hands-on experience by capturing campus events and off-site assignments, with a second-year field study in New York City pushing creative boundaries. Instruction comes from celebrated working professionals who impart wisdom gained through years of industry success. Central to the program is our high-tech photography and video studio, stocked with strobe, video, and continuous lighting systems. Students utilize professional-grade equipment from our lending department, working both independently and collaboratively in this innovative space.
