The esports sector is expanding rapidly each year, drawing in fresh viewers and pioneering novel business approaches. The Esports Entrepreneurship & Administration program immerses students in this vibrant worldwide field where commerce intersects with enthusiasm. By blending classroom instruction with hands-on learning experiences, students acquire essential business fundamentals and discover their application within esports. Topics covered include promotion, data analysis, competition and league operations, event coordination, finance, and public relations. During the initial program year, students dive into the industry by planning and running modest esports tournaments like the Border City Battle and Lambton Esports Open. Learners also interact with numerous esports professionals across the curriculum. As they progress, students compile a professional portfolio showcasing their expertise, including esports-related multimedia production abilities. In the second year, participants complete a culminating project in collaboration with an esports organization, synthesizing program knowledge to deliver an authentic esports initiative.
