Every semester includes hands-on training. Lakeland offers a distinctive third practicum where you and peers will organize and conduct a community play program. Collaboratively, you'll:
develop and advertise the play initiative.
host a family orientation event.
design interactive activities and spaces for participants.
facilitate children's learning and evaluate the outcomes.
In Alberta, certification levels are achieved as follows:
Level 1 Early Childhood Educator requires completing one programming course in our certificate program.
Level 2 Early Childhood Educator requires certificate graduation in early childhood education.
Level 3 Early Childhood Educator requires diploma graduation in early childhood education.
