Kickstart your career in livestock with Lakeland's animal science livestock program.

Begin working at the Student-Managed Farm Powered by New Holland from your very first day.

Explore diverse industry sectors through both operational and business perspectives.

Our specialized curriculum lets you focus on beef or dairy production while also covering bison, equine, and sheep.

Beyond classroom instruction, you'll spend significant time gaining practical experience on our college farm. Starting with animal handling, you'll progress to decision-making and problem-solving as part of the SMF team, following the complete production cycle from breeding to sales.

Opting for the practicum track? You'll implement your knowledge through a hands-on project and final presentation.

Regardless of your path, you'll collaborate with distinguished faculty and peers through case studies, mentoring, and team projects while developing leadership, business, and marketing expertise.

Expand your professional network through industry connections beyond campus.

Upon graduation, you'll possess the practical experience and leadership qualities to thrive in any livestock sector role.
