Biology explores living organisms, their interactions, and life's diversity through an evolutionary lens. As a Biology student, you'll discover how species evolve, genes transfer, and ecosystems function. Our curriculum emphasizes practical experience, offering research projects and fieldwork in nearly every course to complement classroom instruction. You'll explore core biological concepts such as: Anatomy and Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Science, Heredity, Evolutionary Theory, Species Variety, Classification Systems, Ecosystem Dynamics, and Conservation Biology. Tailor your studies to align with your professional goals—whether pursuing a career as a biologist or combining Biology with Chemistry, Geography, Environmental Science, or Parks & Tourism.

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD);
or Completion of Grade 12 and the Secondary School Diploma;
A minimum of 6 Grade 12U or M courses, or equivalent, including program specific prerequisite courses;

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme applicants who achieve their diploma with a total score of at least 24 may be eligible for admission. Three Higher Level subjects must be completed. Prerequisite courses can be presented at either Standard Level or Higher Level. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Some of our competitive programs may require a total score greater than 24.
