Our music degree programs are thoughtfully crafted to provide students with an ideal mix of academic studies and performance training. The curriculum includes diverse course offerings such as: Performance, Theory, Conducting, Composition, Orchestration, Canadian Music, World Music, and Pedagogy.
We aim to nurture your abilities as both a solo performer and ensemble musician, while expanding your artistic vision through exposure to varied musical styles, cultural traditions, and contemporary innovations. Training is offered for all standard orchestral instruments plus: Classical Guitar, Piano, Voice, Saxophone, and Organ. Performance opportunities include participation in multiple ensembles like: Vocal Ensemble, Chamber Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, New Music Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble. Our extensive local partnerships create valuable connections with organizations including the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, New Music North, and Consortium Aurora Borealis, offering exceptional learning and career prospects. Qualification Requirements

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD),
or Completion of Grade 12 and the Secondary School Diploma,
A minimum of 6 Grade 12U or M courses, or equivalent, including program specific prerequisite courses,
A minimum 70%* overall final average
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme applicants who achieve their diploma with a total score of at least 24 may be eligible for admission. Three Higher Level subjects must be completed. Prerequisite courses can be presented at either Standard Level or Higher Level. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Some of our competitive programs may require a total score greater than 24.
