Biology explores the science of living organisms and life's variety through an evolutionary lens. As a Biology student, you'll discover how species interact, genetic inheritance patterns, evolutionary processes, and more. Our curriculum emphasizes practical experience, offering research projects and fieldwork in nearly every course to complement classroom instruction. You'll explore key biological concepts such as: Anatomy and Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Heredity, Evolutionary Theory, Species Diversity, Classification Systems, Ecosystems, and Environmental Science. Tailor your Biology education to align with your professional goals - either focus on becoming a certified biologist or combine biological sciences with Chemistry, Geography, Environmental Science, or Parks & Tourism studies.
Our intimate department size facilitates participation in faculty research projects spanning ecological studies to biofuel development. Graduates pursue diverse career paths including advanced studies in medical, dental, pharmaceutical, veterinary, or graduate programs.
Students can access Biology internships and research assistant roles during summer breaks or the school year as opportunities arise. Combining practical work experience with laboratory sessions and lectures creates exceptional learning value.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme applicants who achieve their diploma with a total score of at least 24 may be eligible for admission. Three Higher Level subjects must be completed. Prerequisite courses can be presented at either Standard Level or Higher Level. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Some of our competitive programs may require a total score greater than 24.
Successful graduation from an academic secondary school program or equivalent (For most countries, the same academic preparation as is required for university entrance in that country is required for consideration. Refer to Admission Requirements by Country.)
