Economics explores how societies make choices when resources are limited, examining the elements that shape prosperity. This social science encompasses financial matters as well as wider historical, social, and cultural themes, spanning from individual behavior (microeconomics) to national and global systems (macroeconomics). Its comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach distinguishes economics from related fields like Business or Finance. Specialized courses in areas such as employment, environmental resources, and market structures provide practical career advantages. Since economic conditions constantly evolve, our curriculum stays current by incorporating emerging theories, data, and real-world developments. Given the significant mathematical focus in many economics courses, prior quantitative skills are strongly advised. With intentionally limited class sizes, students benefit from personalized faculty guidance and an interactive academic setting that encourages innovative perspectives. Our distinguished professors are internationally recognized scholars who regularly contribute cutting-edge research. Annually, we design elective courses tailored to both student aspirations and faculty expertise, offering distinctive educational and investigative experiences found only at our institution.
