The academic and professional exploration of History involves reviving and interpreting the past. This field covers every dimension of human existence, from global conflicts to pop culture trends, and continuously transforms as new insights and viewpoints emerge. As a History student, you'll enjoy the freedom to follow your passions within the discipline while benefiting from close faculty mentorship thanks to our intimate class settings. Our curriculum offers diverse methodologies for historical inquiry and equips you with critical tools to examine any subject through a historical lens. You'll investigate themes spanning North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and South Asia, including: Indigenous Studies, Digital Archives, Ecological History, Gender Studies, Global Development, Governmental History, Healthcare History, War Studies, and Cultural Evolution.
You can opt to pair your History degree with programs in English, French, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Gender Studies, Ecotourism, or Education. Pursuing a dual major enables you to connect historical understanding to specific fields and concentrate your academic journey from the outset. Additional certification opportunities exist. Students may also select specialized tracks in Community History or Conflict Studies within their History program.
