Our intensive two-year diploma program immerses you in both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of public relations, equipping you with the expertise to effectively handle organizational relationships through innovative and strategic communication approaches.
After completing the program, you'll be ready to pursue roles in public relations, communications, social media management, publicity campaigns, media/influencer engagement, public policy communications, corporate communications, event coordination, fundraising initiatives, or to further your education through KPU's Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) programs.
The Public Relations Diploma's coursework is meticulously designed to meet the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management's international standards, including their Capabilities Framework and Body of Knowledge. The curriculum was shaped with guidance from an industry advisory panel featuring top-tier PR and communication professionals across corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors.
You have graduated high school (secondary school) OR completed 24+ credits of undergraduate-level credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
English Proficiency Requirements
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Test: overall band of 6.5 or higher, with a minimum 6.0 in each band, taken within the last two years from the term of admission
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): IBT 88 or higher, with no sub score less than 20, taken within the last two years from the term of admission
Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): Score of 70 or higher with no sub score less than 60, taken within the last two years from the term of admission
Pearson Test of English (PTE): Score of 61 or higher, taken within the last two years from the term of admission
Language Proficiency Index (LPI): Level 5 with an essay score of 30 or higher, taken within the last two years from the term of admission.
