The Landscape Horticulture Systems program equips students with knowledge about landscapes as interconnected systems comprising living organisms like plants, insects, and animals, along with non-living components such as soil.
This specialization offers practical horticulture training through hands-on experiences at Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Langley campus and surrounding areas. By studying botany fundamentals, plant recognition, soil science, and plant health, students explore how various factors influence landscape sustainability. They develop solutions for common garden issues by applying expertise in landscape techniques, pest control, construction, design, maintenance, tree care, and budgeting.
Diploma holders become sought-after professionals for roles in public gardens, resorts, golf courses, and landscape businesses specializing in design, construction, or maintenance services.
