The Catholic Studies program offers students a comprehensive understanding of Catholic theology, covering scripture, the evolution of Christian beliefs and practices, moral philosophy, and global faith traditions. This curriculum prepares aspiring educators for roles within Catholic schools.
Aligned with King’s University College's spiritual mission, Catholic Studies delivers an in-depth exploration of Roman Catholic teachings and equips students with the knowledge required for Religious Education instruction in Catholic schools. Additionally, this program fulfills the Faculty of Education's Religious Studies prerequisites for those pursuing Religion as a teaching specialization.

Completion of first-year requirements. Religious Studies 1027E is recommended.
Students admitted to King's University College must be proficient in written and spoken English. If English is not your first language, you must provide proof of your proficiency in listening, speaking, writing and reading English. Typically, this is done through an official test or ESL program. We reserve the right to ask anybody to provide proof of English language proficiency.

A complete IB Diploma, including:
Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay
Passes in at least six subjects (three at Higher Level)
A minimum total grade of 25 (including the Extended Essay and TOK)

Required courses for your program
IELTS Academic is required with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no part less than 6.0.
Students must achieve a written TOEFL score of 580 or higher and a score of 4.5 on the TWE or a score of 85-90 on Internet Based Test (IBT) with no section less than 20.
