The Global Culture Studies program explores how worldviews and intercultural perceptions are influenced by representational practices and ideological frameworks. Learners receive comprehensive instruction in deconstructing discursive systems and critically assessing how power dynamics manifest in cultural expressions. The curriculum focuses on investigating exclusionary concepts like patriarchal systems, national identity, territoriality, progress narratives, state authority, and globalization. Participants develop tools to recognize and challenge racialized paradigms in international thought, masculine privilege, development ideologies, and artificial divisions between humanity and nature. This educational approach equips students with the competencies and insights needed to engage as ethical cultural practitioners on the global stage.
