The Global Culture Studies program explores how worldviews and mutual understanding are influenced by representational cultures and ideological frameworks. Participants receive comprehensive instruction in decoding and evaluating discourse systems while critically assessing how power dynamics manifest in cultural expressions worldwide. The curriculum focuses on analyzing exclusionary concepts like patriarchal systems, national identity, geographic boundaries, notions of progress, political autonomy, and international relations. Learners develop tools to recognize and challenge racial biases in global paradigms, masculine advantages, progress narratives, and artificial divisions between humanity and nature. This educational approach equips students with the competencies and insights needed to serve as ethical cultural practitioners on the global stage.
