Picture a career where you positively impact lives daily while engaging with vibrant seniors, all while enjoying abundant professional opportunities and advancement.
With experience or education in business, culinary arts, hospitality, healthcare, nutrition, or finance, Retirement Home Management offers a fulfilling path. This Ontario Graduate Certificate program equips you with versatile business skills in just two semesters plus hands-on training, enabling you to transition your background into the thriving retirement living sector.
Unlike long-term care facilities with shared accommodations and constant supervision, retirement homes feature private residences where active seniors maintain independence while enjoying social activities, dining, and shared interests - some environments resemble working at resorts or cruise ships with permanent residents. The program includes a 160-hour practical placement in a retirement community to solidify your skills and kickstart your rewarding career.
