Technological advancements are constantly simplifying how we work, live, and interact daily, with electronic devices being central to this transformation.
Humber’s Electronics Engineering Technician diploma program focuses on electronic products, control systems, and telecommunications, blending theory with practical application. Industry-experienced instructors will guide you through coding, networking, wireless technologies, PLCs, industrial electronics, and troubleshooting methods—including integrating circuits into smart devices, industrial machinery, and consumer goods. You'll assemble and evaluate circuit boards, master electronics fabrication, program PLCs, and develop embedded systems in cutting-edge labs and prototyping spaces equipped with sophisticated software and AR technology.
As reported by Electro-Federation Canada, businesses involved in designing, producing, distributing, and servicing electrical, electronic, and telecom products contribute over $50 billion annually to Canada's economy, supporting more than 130,000 jobs across 1,400 facilities. Graduates have secured roles with leading electronics system users like broadcasters (CBC, CTV), telecom providers (Rogers, Telus, Bell), electronics manufacturers (Creation Technologies, Celestica, GE Canada), and makers of scientific, medical, and industrial equipment. Others have launched their own ventures or advanced into roles such as technical sales representatives, company managers, and business owners.
