Humber's two-year Acting for Stage and Screen diploma provides modern, comprehensive training for aspiring performers. Through intensive scene work, practical exercises, and group collaborations, you'll develop essential acting techniques for both theatrical productions and on-camera performances. The curriculum blends artistic development with practical business knowledge and industry standards. Under the mentorship of experienced professionals—including active actors and renowned directors from theatre, film, TV, and digital media—you'll hone abilities in vocal techniques, movement, dance, physical theatre, improvisation, and character development. The program includes audition preparation, talent showcasing, personal branding strategies, and financial management for freelance actors, while emphasizing creative approaches and supporting technologies. During your final semester, you'll focus on either theatrical or screen performance and customize your training through specialized workshops—options include motion capture, voice acting, screen tests, green screen techniques, virtual production, improvisation, and intimacy coordination.
Beyond conventional stage and screen roles, program graduates are prepared for diverse multimedia opportunities including digital series, VR content, gaming productions, as well as voice work for animation, advertising, narration, and ADR (dubbing).
