Humber's RPN to Bachelor of Science - Nursing program equips students with essential knowledge and skills for a high-demand, fulfilling career as a registered nurse (RN). Our graduates become leaders who champion social justice while providing cutting-edge, safe, evidence-based, and ethical healthcare to diverse populations across local, national, and global healthcare systems. They emerge as forward-thinking global citizens ready to meet Ontario's nursing registration exam requirements. Through our advanced simulation labs, students refine both interpersonal and technical nursing competencies in a supportive, interactive learning space. The program offers extensive hands-on training through clinical placements at healthcare facilities throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
You'll join a remarkably diverse student body that fosters cultural awareness and appreciation. The RPN to BScN program begins with 55-60 students in the first semester. After completing Bridging courses, you'll merge with roughly 200 direct-entry students in Year 3 of the BScN program. Despite these numbers, classes remain intimate with about 50 students per theory section and 6-8 per practicum group, allowing you to build strong support networks and lasting friendships.
You'll learn from highly qualified professors and clinical instructors with robust academic and professional backgrounds. All nursing faculty are practicing RNs with prior hospital and community healthcare experience before transitioning to post-secondary education. Instructors for non-nursing courses (including biological sciences, statistics, and liberal studies) likewise bring exceptional teaching expertise and subject mastery to the classroom.
