Humber's Bachelor of Engineering program starts with a shared first-year curriculum that builds fundamental engineering knowledge and skills. After the initial year, students can choose between three specialized tracks: Information Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, and The Built Environment.
The Information Systems Engineering specialization focuses on interdisciplinary studies covering dynamic fields like computer systems, software development, networking, telecommunications, mobile applications, and cybersecurity. Post-first year, students explore core subjects including digital systems, operating systems, embedded systems, communication engineering, software development, mobile applications, and related areas. Third-year students select between two concentrations: Internet of Things (IoT) or Data Network and Security, each offering eight specialized courses.
The program emphasizes hands-on learning through projects, practical training, research opportunities, and work-integrated experiences. Students tackle real-world challenges while honing professional competencies like collaboration, communication, presentation skills, and project leadership.
