Humber's Bachelor of Commerce - Human Resources Management program emphasizes practical HR skills and real-world applications. The curriculum begins with core business subjects including organizational behavior, legal studies, economics, financial accounting, marketing principles, and operations management. As you progress, specialized HR courses provide hands-on experience through projects like creating recruitment strategies, compensation plans, policy frameworks, and training programs. You'll gain experience taking projects from conception to implementation while learning from seasoned faculty and HR practitioners.
This program maintains strong ties to the HR field. Students can connect with working professionals, advisory board members, and graduates while engaging in HR-focused workshops and events they help coordinate.
To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:
Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent) minimum 65 per cent
Grade 12 Mathematics (MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent) minimum 60 per cent (Students who do not possess Grade 12U Mathematics or who have achieved a grade below 60 per cent may be considered for admission. Students will be required to complete a math equivalency course during their first semester at Humber.)
Four Grade 12 U or M courses in addition to those listed above
Overall minimum grade point average (GPA) 65 per cent

CAEL Online or In-Person: Overall band score of 60 and Writing of 60; Cambridge English Tests Minimum FCE/CAE/CPE Score -> Minimum B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency Score: B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 176 (with no single subscore below 169 ; Duolingo Language Test+: 115 and above; IELTS Academic Level: Overall 6.5 AND No band below 6.0; MET: 59; PTE: 58 - 60; TOEFL Academic Level: 560 for paper-based test OR 84 (21L, 21W, 21S, 21R) for internet-based test
