Students work directly with professional tools including Profile (for personal and corporate taxes), Access, Excel, PowerBI, SAGE 50 Accounting (previously Simply Accounting), and Sage 300 ERP (Accpac Plus). Industry-experienced instructors deliver practical accounting education to prepare students for career success. The diverse course selection additionally cultivates broader business competencies in areas like HR management, professional communication, economic theory, and financial principles.
Students may elect to participate in one to three co-op work terms scheduled between academic periods. Choosing co-op placements may extend program duration by one to three semesters. These optional work experiences allow students to build professional skills, though positions are competitive and not assured. Applications for the co-op program are exclusively open to students in their second semester.
