The Child and Youth Care Worker program equips you for a rewarding profession assisting vulnerable young people and their families in addressing challenging situations. The curriculum covers counseling techniques, case coordination, child protection services, intervention methods, and program design, teaching you to assess client requirements and create effective support plans. Your practical experience will occur in youth care centers, schools, legal or mental health institutions, or addiction treatment facilities, allowing you to implement your classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Applicants must be out of high school at least one year before applying to this program due to the nature of the work and the age range of the clientele serviced by a child and youth care worker
