The Architectural Technology program covers all facets of the architectural construction field. Students gain expertise in architectural building sciences, design fundamentals for architecture and engineering, construction materials, contract documentation, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Through a two-part thesis project, learners undertake self-directed design or research initiatives within building-related fields. The curriculum features courses like Surveying and Site Planning, Architectural History, Sustainable Design Basics, Contract Management, Project Coordination, and Built Environment studies.
Both solo and group assignments help students cultivate essential skills for professional success. This program holds CTAB (Canadian Technology Accreditation Board) national accreditation at the technologist tier.
National accreditation involves rigorous evaluation by certified experts, assuring graduates and employers that the program meets Canada's educational standards for engineering technology and applied science. Completing an accredited program offers a streamlined pathway to professional certification with provincial regulatory bodies across Canada.
