This program immerses students in computer programming, web development, and data-driven system design. Participants master coding in multiple languages including Arduino, ASP.NET, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTMLCSS, PHP, and Swift. The curriculum provides hands-on experience creating software for various platforms such as embedded systems, desktops, mobile devices, and mainframes. With a focus on business and entrepreneurial principles, students develop problem-solving, troubleshooting, and system-building skills through practical assignments, projects, and cooperative work placements. Program graduates are prepared for diverse entry-level positions in software development, working either independently or collaboratively to analyze, design, improve, and sustain applications across desktop, mobile, web, and mainframe environments. Career opportunities extend to systems analysis, business analysis, database design and administration, computer operations, web development, and mobile app creation.
Applicants must hold OSSD or equivalent with the following:
Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing.
