This program equips students with skills in computer programming, web development, and data utilization to drive impactful business choices. Participants master coding across multiple languages including Arduino, ASP.NET, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and Swift. The curriculum covers software creation for various platforms such as embedded systems, desktops, mobile devices, and mainframes. Advanced topics include systems analysis, Business Intelligence (BI), application security, data structures, plus game and simulation development. With a business-oriented approach, students hone problem-solving, troubleshooting, and system-building abilities through hands-on assignments, projects, and cooperative work placements. Alumni are prepared for diverse entry and mid-level software development positions, capable of working solo or collaboratively to assess, design, improve, and sustain applications across desktop, mobile, web, and mainframe environments. Graduates can also contribute to software project management and pursue careers in systems analysis, business analysis, database architecture, web development, and mobile app creation.
Applicants must hold OSSD or equivalent with the following:
Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing.
