Modern technology allows sensors and software to be integrated into nearly any item, forming part of the expansive web of linked devices called the Internet of Things (IoT). Gain skills in collecting, processing, and understanding this data through the one-year postgraduate program in Internet of Things – System Design and Implementation. Projections suggest between 50 to 100 billion objects will be online by 2030, ranging from household appliances to aircraft parts and even biological systems like agricultural produce and farm animals. The Internet of Things – System Design and Implementation (T427) graduate certificate equips learners for dynamic roles as engineers, developers, and other positions in this rapidly expanding sector. Throughout this year-long course, participants will investigate the complete IoT framework while studying the moral and lawful uses of this technology. They'll analyze the different components and operations that constitute IoT systems, such as:digital sensors and control mechanismsnetworking systems facilitating device-to-device communicationcloud and edge computing infrastructure supporting global IoT operationsprogramming that integrates all componentsThe curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning. Participants will apply their expertise by tackling actual challenges and creating, building, and implementing IoT systems.
