The Community Worker program equips students to drive meaningful social transformation by collaborating with organizations, communities, and individuals on critical issues including poverty, housing, legal advocacy, discrimination, food security, and immigrant/refugee support. For those dedicated to advancing human rights and social equity, the two-year Community Worker (C101) diploma provides essential training. Participants develop the expertise needed to support diverse populations and underserved communities facing various challenges.
Our program welcomes everyone - from recent high school graduates to career changers, mature students to newcomers - creating a vibrant, engaged learning community that enriches the educational experience.
Recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), this program allows graduates to pursue the RSSW (Registered Social Service Worker) credential upon completion.
Have graduated from senior secondary school or equivalent (those applying for a postgraduate program must have graduated from a university or college)
Be 17 years of age or older at the time of registration
Applicants with transcripts from an institution where the language of instruction is not English may meet English language proficiency requirements with one of the following proofs of language proficiency.
