This two-year program teaches essential natural resource management skills, from traditional forestry techniques like compass navigation and tree species identification to advanced technology applications including ArcMap and GPS systems.

The program features in-person instruction blending classroom learning with practical experiences, including paid co-op opportunities, multiple field trips, and our distinctive field camp. Focusing on climate-resilient management of Great Lakes-St. Lawrence and Boreal Forest regions, graduates will master technical skills for developing, maintaining, conserving, and renewing sustainable forests in both public and private sectors, with special emphasis on adaptive strategies.
