Our enhanced two-year Educational Support diploma trains you to work alongside educators, helping children facing learning difficulties, intellectual challenges, sensory or physical impairments, and behavioral needs.
In today's tech-driven educational environments, this program strengthens your digital proficiency with assistive technologies crucial for your career. Graduate ready to support students using modern tools like iPads, educational apps, SMART Boards, and accessibility software such as voice recognition programs. Learn from instructors with current, hands-on field experience. The second and third semesters clarify the distinct roles of teachers and educational assistants while teaching vital skills like: behavior management, curriculum adaptation, specialized child support, and instructional planning assistance
Third semester combines three days of college classes with two days of hands-on experience in local schools. The program culminates with an immersive, full-semester practicum in an educational setting, where you'll assist students with various exceptionalities including autism spectrum disorders, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, vision impairments, and learning differences.
