Fleming College offers ECE students distinctive hands-on learning experiences in dynamic classroom settings, providing the essential skills to work with children from infancy to age 12.
Every course follows an inclusive approach that values family collaboration. The curriculum focuses on practical application, bridging classroom knowledge with real-world scenarios to launch students' careers as early childhood professionals. During semesters two and four, you'll gain hands-on experience in childcare settings. Semester three involves ECE student teams operating an Interactive Children's Program under faculty supervision within the Peterborough community. This experience leads into semester four, where you'll consolidate your learning during final field placements.
