The Research and Evaluation program is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate that equips students with advanced technical expertise in research methodologies and assessment techniques. Participants will master the process of designing, executing, analyzing, and presenting research findings to inform strategic decisions.
In today's landscape, applying research to drive meaningful impact has become essential across nonprofit and government sectors. This program enables you to translate academic research into practical solutions within diverse environments including social services, healthcare systems, educational institutions, and corporate settings, while refining both technical competencies and interdisciplinary approaches.
Over twelve months, you'll cultivate in-demand abilities in study design, statistical analysis, and the ethical considerations surrounding program assessment. Develop expertise in organizing investigations, gathering evidence, interpreting results, and using data-driven insights to guide organizational choices. The curriculum examines various social science methodologies, focusing on their implementation for program improvement and effectiveness measurement.
The program offers an optional paid co-op component, allowing you to strengthen workplace readiness through hands-on experience. Cooperative placements are available with startups, charitable organizations, and government entities.
