The Composites and Advanced Materials Aerospace Manufacturing program is a one-year graduate certificate tailored for individuals with engineering or aircraft structural repair experience. Participants will explore theoretical and practical aspects of material science, design principles, and fabrication techniques for composites and advanced materials. Upon completion, graduates will qualify for technician or technologist roles in manufacturing and assembly sectors.
This Ontario College Graduate Certificate program provides comprehensive training in working with advanced materials like carbon fiber, laminates, glass, and fabric reinforcements. Students will master both destructive and non-destructive tensile testing methods, along with infusion and machining processes. The program strongly focuses on quality assurance protocols, safety standards, and evaluation methodologies. Graduates will be equipped for careers as technicians, technologists, or engineers specializing in manufacturing, assembly, quality control, and materials testing.
Post-secondary diploma, advanced diploma or degree in engineering from a Canadian accredited program or equivalent international degree in the field of engineering or a Transport Canada-accredited Aircraft structural repair technician Ontario college certificate or an equivalent qualification from another institution as judged by the college or a combination of relevant education and work experience in a related field as judged by the college. In some case a resume and cover letter may be requested.
