This graduate certificate program aims to strengthen and expand upon the foundational concepts learned in mechanical engineering studies. It offers specialized instruction in finite element analysis, geometric tolerancing, and computer-aided design (CAD), emphasizing efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality design approaches. The curriculum covers metrology, industrial communication protocols, quality assurance systems, and design principles. Through a hands-on capstone project, participants will gain practical experience in developing, executing, and overseeing real-world solutions while applying industrial communication techniques, leadership skills, project coordination, and documentation practices.
A Three-Year Advanced Diploma in a related field or a Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from a recognized college or university both paired with two years of applied experience
OR
An Ontario College Graduate Certificate from Fanshawe College in:
- Practical Elements of Mechanical Engineering OR
- Applied Aerospace Manufacturing
OR Equivalent work experience in a related field. OR
An equivalent qualification from another institution as judged by the College. OR
A combination of relevant education and work experience in a related field as judged by the College to be equivalent to the above AND
