The Social Service Worker (Fast Track) is a condensed 10-month Ontario College Diploma program designed for graduates eager to make an immediate impact in their communities. Upon completion, you'll be qualified for positions in diverse fields including community development, crisis response, violence prevention, corrections, addiction services, and education.
This accelerated program allows university graduates (in Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work-related fields) and Community Studies diploma holders to fulfill the Social Service Worker program requirements through three intensive levels. During the 10-month period, you'll develop comprehensive knowledge of psychological principles, individual and societal issues, and acquire effective intervention strategies for social agency work. You'll learn from approachable, knowledgeable instructors through interactive methods like role-playing, counseling simulations, and real-world case studies, supplemented by insights from practicing professionals. An Ontario College Diploma from the School of Community Studies with a minimum 2.0 GPA from Fanshawe College
